We also involve community healing by connecting families within the home to create a network of support and accountability. Howard Barker handles all of the outreach and community engagement at Victory Programs. He works to spread education and awareness on issues surrounding mental health and substance abuse as well as help families navigate the difficult waters of getting a loved one help. Howard has spent the past 8 years working with young adults and their families, being a support during times of crisis. Our sober living houses in Southern California encourage house members to share with each other and develop relationships that can give them strength through the trials and tribulations that arise throughout sobriety. House members draw strength from each other during and long after their stay at our sober living homes.
A Reliable Sober Living in Los Angeles
He opened Victory Programs, a group of facilities for young men’s sober living in Los Angeles. With this, he had a vision of helping men abstain from alcohol and drug dependence. To add, he wanted to transform their lifestyles and teach them life skills necessary to succeed. Lance has been participating with New Life for 2 years, and says that some of his best memories have been from his involvement at the houses. He is from Las Vegas and enjoys having fun in sobriety, spending time with his community, and staying active.
What is Sober Living?
Irina Jodzio is the Parent Intensive and Family Group Facilitator at Victory Programs. Irina has an extensive background working with young adults and their families, and has been participating in the Victory Programs community for many years, helping the young men recover. In addition to our recovery staff, we have partnered services with specialists to provide the best treatment for young men in recovery. Psychiatrists, facilitators, and educators are among the professionals who partner with our sober living homes in Los Angeles. Many of our partners have worked with us for several years, and all are considered part of the New Life family. Maxwell is a dedicated advocate for recovery and personal growth, deeply grateful to work for the very program that transformed his life.
When young people complete their stay at the sober living home, they are encouraged to return to support the newer members, hence making the new members’ transition into the structured program smoother. Giving rides, sponsorship, attending meetings, events, parties, and conferences together create a community of support a young adult needs to achieve long-lasting sobriety. We came from very humble beginnings, and would love to tell you our story of success and recovery. Our family therapy programs allow families to get involved in the recovery process, as well as connect with other families to build community along the way.
Sober Living for Men in Los Angeles
Steve ran a successful studio and gallery space, worked on television sets, and has been involved in the city’s creative culture for years before his journey with New Life. He has been around highly structured sober livings for the last 6 years committed to self-improvement and all others who come into a process like New Life. Healing within like-minded communities is essential for a young man’s recovery from addiction. Having a support system and sober friends aids with the difficulty young adults face in today’s social climate. Participating in a community of like-minded men helps to keep them from social scenes such as bars, nightclubs, and house parties where alcohol and drugs can be easily accessed.
We are much more than just a sober living home with members who are friends–we are a family. Victory Programs has been recognized nationally by professionals in recovery as a model for structured sober living in Los Angeles. Moreover, we have a stellar reputation of providing young men with the tools for success and community support they need in order to live a productive and happy life no matter what challenges they encounter along the way. Our structured sobriety programs, compassionate staff, supportive community and decades of experience support young men and their families at every step on their path to recovery. Spending time in a sober living home not only allows you to meet new people and access valuable resources, but it helps prevent relapse. You have worked too hard in your recovery to take that risk, and that is why we are here to help.

Established structured sober living provides a distraction-free environment without having to pass by the dealer’s house, endure toxic relationships, or be tempted to party. A Victory Programs alumni, Howard went back to college and underwent CADC training in recovery. He has spoken on panels, in treatment centers, community centers, schools, with parents, students, teachers, law enforcement and mental health providers to give insight on issues that are impacting young people today. Sebastian has been participating in drug and alcohol treatment and recovery for over a decade, and has a Victory Programs Review passion for assisting people as they work through areas of life similar to the ones that he has struggled with. Sebastian has worked with Victory Programs in a variety of roles, and spent time both directing the houses and focusing on the alumni, as well as working with the clinical team at Clear Recovery Center.
Through his journey, he discovered the path to manhood and now strives to guide others towards the same profound realization. Maxwell’s commitment and passion are evident in his unwavering support for those seeking a fresh start, and integration into our recovery community. An important feature of sober living rehab aftercare is the hands-on support from professionals who have years of experience in the field. This allows them to impart valuable advice and support to young men currently going through the houses. In the early 1990s, many families of teenagers and young men approached Victory Programs to help address their son’s addictions. At the time, long-term, sober living resident services for teens and young men in Los Angeles were unavailable.
